Spring-Cleaning:
A week later, and it still feels like I'm living in a holiday resort.
My room is so bare that I feel extremely good.

Thrown out tons of past memories, many that don't matter anymore.
There's no point clinging onto it when others don't give a damn

To You-Know-Who: (Note: it's not Lord Voldemort)
No one is perfect.
I’m certainly not, nor do I expect anyone around me to be, either.

All these years I was the one making sure our friendship stay strong.
But in our last conversation you called me ungrateful, that really hurt my feelings!!

It shattered all my efforts that I put into maintaining this friendship.

Apparently, it will be our 13th Anniversary of Friendship in 2 days.
I guess, being an 'ungrateful' person, I shouldn’t be keeping count anymore, no?

Movies & Celebrities:
January came and took Heath Ledger away.
Paul Newman left us in September.

Anticipation for the release of The Dark Knight since late 2007,
continued all the way through July 2008...

From blogging about booking-my-ticket-in-advance right till after the screening,
I think my excitement didn't fade out until 2 months later.

So. Batman/Joker/Heath Ledger/Gary Oldman occupied most of 2008☆

Supposedly 2008 was also to be the year of Harry Potter.
After waiting for more than a year, came the shocking announcement:
Release of Half-Blood Prince delay to Summer 2009!! o(>_<)o
That statement was released 2 months before the November release date!!

Novels:
It's been an extremely productive year for me on the book front☆
These are the best gems that I've read. (^-^)v

• Walter Tevis - "The Queen Gambit"
• Jenny Downham - "Before I Die"
• Justin Evans - "A Good And Happy Child"
• John Ajvide Lindqvist - "Let The Right One In"
• Jodi Picoult - "My Sister's Keeper"
• Diane Setterfield - "The Thirteenth Tale"
• Kim Edwards - "The Memory Keeper's Daughter"
• Elizabeth Kostova - "The Historian"

There was also the disappointment of the Twilight series.
I was fine with "Breaking Dawn," though there were many grammatical errors here and there.

However it was the author Stephenie Meyer whom I was utterly disappointed with.
She broke canyon with the last of the series, betraying the rules she had built up with the first 3 books. (|||」｀□´)」

The worst was when she blamed her fans for the "hype" and not understanding her & her brain!
The same fans, including me, who had supported and paid close to $100 for her books!

Music:
I fell in love with Hong Kong's Beyond all over again.
Especially Wong Ka Kui's self-penned "海闊天空"
2008 happens to mark the late singer-songwriter's 15th Death Anniversary.

The new year will arrive in a couple of hours, with big changes in 2009.
There's the Obama's administration in the US, commencing next month.
Unfortunately, political drama will still continue in some parts of the world

On a personal front, 2008 may be the lowest point of my life.
But it will not be repeated.

I've seen the effects as a result of neglecting myself in the last few years.

I let those so-called friends hurt me more than they are allowed to.
It's time to put a stop, even if it means tearing up all the roots.

Gone is the anticipation for love~.

I wish nothing for myself, except to love myself more than I should.

一个星期已过，感觉还是很想住进度假屋呢~
我的香闺空荡荡的，好好噢!

以前的回忆不再留念，因为已经不重要了.
其他人都不念旧情了，我干吗那么傻在原地守候呢?!

至那位忘恩负义的女人:
这些年来，我一直很努力地在维持我们的友情.
我不完美，但我从来没奢求你一定要做个完美的朋友.

可是在我们最后的谈话中，你说我忘恩负义!!
你真的彻彻底底伤害了我的心啊~!!
那么，我这些年用心维持的这段友谊是白费了吗?

2天后就是我们的庆祝彼此之间的友谊的13周年纪念日.
我这个'忘恩负义'的人，不应该再留念了吧...

电影、艺人界:
一月带走了Heath Ledger，而在9月Paul Newman离开了这个世界.

电影《The Dark Knight》，我从07年底就万分期待一直到08年的7月...

从预订戏票而且还兴致勃勃地在博客与大家分享，甚至终于看完了电影...
我的兴奋度2个月后才慢慢消退 (笑)

Batman/Joker/Heath Ledger/Gary Oldman霸占了08年很大的部分☆

2008年应该也是哈利波特之年.
期待了一年多，突然发公告说《Half-Blood Prince》发片期推延之09年的夏天!! o(>_<)o
公告还是在11月预定上档的2个月前公布啊T!!

书界:
今年可说是我的丰收年哟☆

我也没忘了《Twilight 》系列的书籍
对于《Breaking Dawn》，我也没什么不满.
不过书里有很多很多的错字，那时不可原谅的.

但是我对作者Stephenie Meyer是彻底的失望.
她背叛了在前3本书里辛辛苦苦建立的故事架构，在第4本里的故事完全不合理.

最糟糕的是，她把责任推到书迷身上，说她们不了解她和她的脑! (|||」｀□´)」
就是那些一路来支持她，还购买她的书总价值$100呀! 包括我在内!

音乐:
我从新地爱上了香港的Beyond乐队.
尤其是黄家驹作词作曲的那首《海闊天空》
今年也是他过世的15周年...

新的一年即将到来，也会有很多变化.
在美国，新总统一月上任. 在许多国家还会持续长久的政治问题.

私人方面，2008年是我的生命中的最低潮.
不过我不会让历史从演的.

这几年严重地忽略了自己，已经够了.

让那些所谓的朋友伤害我的日子已尽.
是时候停止一切，就算要拔根...那就拔吧!!

对爱情也没什么期待了~.

我没什么期望，但会更加爱惜自己.
