I'd bought & finished Let The Right One In sometime ago.
Besides "The Thirteenth Tale" & "The Queen Gambit,"
this is one good book I've read this year.
Anyway, I finally saw the movie version last night! (^-^)v
The book was originally written in Swedish; naturally the film's made in the same language. Fortunately, there's English subtitles.
The film's pretty straight forward, and omits each character's point of view.
But it's advisable to read the novel first before going to see the movie.
Otherwise you'll find yourself asking loads of questions.
The director failed to explain the relationship between the killer & Eli.
The killings were easy to decipher, but why liquid all over his face?
Why did he allow Eli to suck his blood?
(You gotta read the book!!)
I was disappointed the fateful ending of the killer was cut from the film.
Why oh why?!
And there was no mention of Eli's sexuality. Was Eli, the 200-year-old vampire, a boy or a girl?
That, you have the read the book.
In early vampire mythology, vampires can enter one's home only if he attains the owner's permission. Hence, the title of the book/movie.
What happens when a vampire enters your home uninvited?
Watch the movie or read the book! (lol)
I'm glad that scene was kept intact in the movie.
However, the director failed to apply that in the final scene where Eli was supposed to ask permission to enter the swimming complex.
Remember I mentioned about the woman who burst into flames?
That storyline was given so little attention that without reading the book,

That storyline was given so little attention that without reading the book,
it's such an odd insertion to the film.
The film doesn't fare too badly except the plot was not clearly explained.
READ THE BOOK BEFORE WATCHING THE MOVIE.
You can thank me later☆
PS
Today marks the 2nd year Wannie had entered my life.
You don't see him often on my blog these days.
He likes to say he's in hibernation (o^(エ)^o)
不久之前,我买了也并读完《Let The Right One In》.
除了《The Thirteenth Tale》和《The Queen Gambit》,这是今年我看的很好的一本小说..
