Been battling an unbearable migraine since yesterday.
Make it stop!!

I'm watching the 81st Academy Awards right now...
Heath Ledger won the Oscar for his portrayal as The Joker!!
Tears started streaming down my face before Kevin Kline introduced him.

I'm gonna go lie down and rest now~.

The nominees for the 81st Academy Awards have just been announced!

No surprise there - Heath Ledger is up for BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR.

But...no BEST DIRECTING nomination for Christopher Nolan?!

And I was utterly disappointed that Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard weren't recognized for their amazing compositions for the soundtrack! w(゚o゚)w

*goes away and sulk* \( . _ . )/

Hans Zimmer

I finally saw Marley & Me today☆
The storyline was tweaked here and there, but the film was still acceptable.

I sobbed at the exact same part as I'd read the book.

You guys really need to read the novel & watch the movie, OK?

Speaking of novels, I'm still experiencing a dry reading spell.
Books just don't love me right now...

I just bought some aspirin & honey.
Can you guess what I'm gonna do? (lol)

PS
Check out my pretty self-manicured nails

Warning!
If you have a weak heart, do not watch "Passion of the Christ."

Lasting more than 2 hours, the film began with the High Priest's accusation of Jesus being a liar.
Fearing a rebellion, Pontius Pilate was pressured to make a decision on Jesus' fate.

The movie got more gorier from then on, and it was really painful to watch.

The chastising scene was especially humiliating and cruel.
Roman soldiers involved, took great pleasure in flogging the poor guy.

The gloating look on their faces was extremely obnoxious! o(>_<)o

I was thinking how these people were doing in Hell.
The sins that they have committed to, just these tortures alone to Jesus or to just any ordinary man.

Instead of hating them, Jesus was praying to God for their forgiveness.

Jesus once said to the High Priest that he could destroy his temple and rebuild it in 3 days.
No one believed him, and called him an impostor.
At the end of the film, the temple was destroyed. KARMA~.

PS
Gary Oldman got married on New Year's Eve!! o(^o^)o + (つд⊂)

I'd bought & finished Let The Right One In sometime ago.
Besides "The Thirteenth Tale" & "The Queen Gambit,"
this is one good book I've read this year.

Anyway, I finally saw the movie version last night! (^-^)v
The book was originally written in Swedish; naturally the film's made in the same language. Fortunately, there's English subtitles.

The film's pretty straight forward, and omits each character's point of view.
But it's advisable to read the novel first before going to see the movie.
Otherwise you'll find yourself asking loads of questions.

The director failed to explain the relationship between the killer & Eli.
The killings were easy to decipher, but why liquid all over his face?
Why did he allow Eli to suck his blood?
(You gotta read the book!!)

I was disappointed the fateful ending of the killer was cut from the film.
Why oh why?!

And there was no mention of Eli's sexuality. Was Eli, the 200-year-old vampire, a boy or a girl?
That, you have the read the book.

In early vampire mythology, vampires can enter one's home only if he attains the owner's permission. Hence, the title of the book/movie.

What happens when a vampire enters your home uninvited?
Watch the movie or read the book! (lol)
I'm glad that scene was kept intact in the movie.

However, the director failed to apply that in the final scene where Eli was supposed to ask permission to enter the swimming complex.

Remember I mentioned about the woman who burst into flames?
That storyline was given so little attention that without reading the book,
it's such an odd insertion to the film.

The film doesn't fare too badly except the plot was not clearly explained.

READ THE BOOK BEFORE WATCHING THE MOVIE.
You can thank me later☆

PS
Today marks the 2nd year Wannie had entered my life.
You don't see him often on my blog these days.

He likes to say he's in hibernation (o^(エ)^o)

不久之前,我买了也并读完《Let The Right One In》.
除了《The Thirteenth Tale》和《The Queen Gambit》,这是今年我看的很好的一本小说..
