Spent the evening reading; romance novels always end on the same note.

I'm gonna re-read "Crime & Punishment,"
then onto the long-overdued "The Brothers Karamazov." (lol)

Say, I have not stepped into a bookstore for an entire week!
How does that say about resisting temptation, huh? σ(^。^;


一整个晚上都在看书，爱情小说的结局都是一样的...

我要从新再阅读"Crime & Punishment,"
之后就是一直延后的"The Brothers Karamazov." (笑)

话说, 我已经一整个星期没有踏进书局了!
真的经得起诱惑啊!   σ(^。^;

Started reading the long-awaited novel "The Queen Gambit" yesterday.
Before turning in for the night, I read for another 2 hours.
Should be able to finish in a day or two☆

I had enjoyed reading Lauren Weisberger's "The Devil Wears Prada."
Wanted to get her other novel "Everyone Worth Knowing" but there's only 1 tattered copy in the store. Went to 2 other bookstores but they don't carry the title. (￣д￣;)
Nevermind, there's no hurry.

So in the end, I got "Perfect Strangers."
A nice Valentine's Day gift to myself... （ーДー；）ヾ

I spent more money on books than cosmetics & clothes. σ(^。^;


昨天开始阅读期待已久的"The Queen Gambit."
临睡前还读了2个小时.
应该能在这一两天内读完☆

我蛮喜欢阅读Lauren Weisberger的"The Devil Wears Prada".
所以想买她另一本小说"Everyone Worth Knowing不过书局里只有一本 ，而且是破烂的.
去了2家书局也找不到. (￣д￣;)
没关系，不需要着急.

最后买了"Perfect Strangers."
一份送给自己的情人节礼物... （ーДー；）ヾ

我的钱大部分都花在小说上，比化妆品和衣服还要多. σ(^。^;

Yesterday I bought my first purple nail polish.
I don't think it suits me at all... (O_o)

I've just logged on, only to read some bad news.
I almost burst out crying "No!"  in public while reading the headlines.
One of my fave actor Roy Scheider is dead! ｡･ﾟ(´□｀)ﾟ･｡
He's the guy who killed great white sharks in the Jaws movies.

2008 just keeps getting better and better... (つд⊂)


Additionally, I have finally finished reading "The Historian."
Who would have expected that Dracula is a historian himself. (lol)
Anyway, it's fiction and he died in the end so, that's about it.

I'm glad that I didn't stop reading it, like what I did with many others.
Walked into 2 bookstores early, very tempted to buy a novel.
In the end, I made a painful decision to put my hands in my pocket.

Next up: "The Queen's Gambit"


昨天买了我的第一瓶紫色指甲油.
颜色好像不适合我呢... (O_o)

刚上网就看到不愉快的新闻.
看着头条，差点在大庭广众哭着"不会的!"
我喜欢的一位演员Roy Scheider 死了! ｡･ﾟ(´□｀)ﾟ･｡
他就是那位在《Jaws》电影系列中勇敢地追杀大白鲨.

2008年好像越来越好... (つд⊂)


我已经读完了The Historian.
谁会料到Dracula也是个史學家. (笑)
不管怎么样，这毕竟是个虚拟故事，他最后也被杀死了.

蛮庆幸我能把书看完，不想在书架上的几本书...
较早前走进了2家书局，很想买本书的.
但最后还是痛苦的八念头打消，乖乖的把手放回口袋里.

下本书: The Queen's Gambit

Yippee!! I got the book!!! b(⌒o⌒)d
There was only 1 copy on the shelf and I snapped it up!
Right now it's sitting right next to me, waiting to be read. (lol)

There's far less pages than "The Historian" yet it cost a whole $10 more!


Over the weekend, I got a new brand of concealer & makeup base.
My skin looked so flawless when I applied it on yesterday!! σ(^。^;

Moments like this highly boost my self-confidence, you know? (´･ω･`)


I am gonna be a good girl and continue reading my current novel.
I'm right at the middle of the story and it's getting exciting!

I promise I will finish the entire book before I go on the next one☆

书架上就只有一本，被我抢购了!
现在它就在我旁边，等着我. (笑)


跟"The Historian"比起来， 书页太少了还贵了整10块钱!


周末的时候，我买了新的遮疵膏和粉底膏.
昨天搽上去的时候，我的皮肤显得很PERFECT!! σ(^。^;

在这种情形下，我的自信心会大增，你能了解吗？ (´･ω･`)


好了，我要乖乖地继续看小说.
已经阅读了一大半，内容也越来越精彩!

我答应一定会把整本书看完才能读下一本☆

I am addicted to Caffeine. ＿|￣|○
3 days ago, I decided to stop my intake of coffee.
As a result, I felt tired all day and even had to take naps! (= _=;)

This morning, I had a cup of nice, warm coffee.
It's already noon and I'm still perky without a sigh of lethargy☆


I'm still reading my novel at a slow, steady pace♪
I should tell you that it's a modern re-telling of the Dracula story.
But did you know that Bram Stoker's Dracula is largely based on Vlad III the Impaler?

His preferred method of torture & execution was impalement. (ﾟﾛﾟ)
Death by impalement was slow and painful and can go on for hours or days!

You should also know that the Dracula story is purely fictional; Vlad Ţepeş was never a vampire.

3天前我决定戒瘾.
结果弄到我整天喊累，还想睡午觉! (=_=;)

今早喝了杯热乎乎的咖啡.
现在已经是中午了，我还是精神奕奕哟☆


我还在阅读前阵子买回来的小说♪
不知是否提过这是本关于Dracula的摩登讲述.
你知不知道Bram Stoker的 Dracula 根据Vlad III the Impaler 这个人物呢?

他常常使用穿刺之刑，因此得到"穿刺公"的称号．(ﾟﾛﾟ)
死于这样的酷刑的过程很慢、疼痛．有时还会拖上几个小时，甚至几天呀!

你也应该知道，Dracula的故事是虚造的，Vlad Ţepeş并不是个吸血僵尸.
