I'd spent the weekend enjoying my read of The Thirteenth Tale.
The moment I began to read, I felt like I'm suffering from an addiction.
Addicted to the story that made me lost track of time.
Time which seems to flow like fluid.
It was hours ago when I'd look at the time before I start my reading.
I hate it when I got too sleepy to concentrate on the story.
And now, I'm moving reluctantly towards the end of the novel... (´
I tried to take it slow but it's just impossible.
When you're suffering from an addiction, you crave for more, isn't it?
As I found myself nearing the end, I felt a sudden feeling of being lost.
What am I supposed to read after this amazing novel?
Though it's become a habit to frequent bookstores, I never read in there.
Nor do I like to obstruct human traffic by standing at shelves & sitting on the floor.
I prefer to do some research on the Net first.
Decide on the book which most interest me, then get it at the bookstore.
I know roughly the story of Jane Eyre but never read the book.
The story was frequently mentioned in my current novel that maybe it's time I explore it☆
I never keep track of the number of books I read & buy every year.
It's easy to check by backtracking my blog but do I have to? (lol)
But I have to say:
The Thirteenth Tale is the best book I've read in 2008
《The Thirteenth Tale》

Books of Horror

I finally finished reading Let The Right One In yesterday!
Then I re- watched the trailer, which I now fully understood.
I still got goosebumps after watching it.
The film seems creepier than the book (lol)
Ahh! I can't wait for the October release~
Eli, the 200-year-old vampire turns out to be a boy.
The woman who burnt up in flames, you gotta watch the movie or read the book to find out why☆
Despite crisscrossing several characters into the main story, John Ajvide Lindqvist did a good job of not failing to keep with the pace.
In earlier vampire mythology, vampires have to be invited before they can enter your home.
(example: Fright Night)
Likewise with the title of the book, the author came up with a theory as to what will happen if a vampire enters a home uninvited. I'm pretty sure the bloody scene won't be cut from the film.
Earlier I was at Amazon(dot)com and found this book by accident.
You would know that demons & exorcisms are among my favorite topics, so I might go get a copy later~.
In the meantime, I'm going to re-read Jodi Picoult's My Sister's Keeper.
昨天终于把《Let The Right One In》给看完了哦!
Eli,
Fright Night)

"And here we go"
She got a shock on seeing Harvey Two-Faced (lol)
"You could have asked me a second time..." she regretted.
So we are going either tonight or tomorrow, not that I mind♪
In contrast to Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series,
John Ajvide Lindqvist's vampire novel is darker and addresses more issues than love.
I'm taking my time to enjoy my reading.
The Swedish movie will be released on October, but I doubt it will be shown here...
John Ajvide Lindqvist

《Ghost Funeral

My first book in a month! (lol)
I'd come across this book 2-3 months ago, but I bought another title instead.
The one that I had given up on reading - the author was too naggy with his words.
*shakes head*
I came across it again yesterday; I should have bought it back then.
The story is pretty much straightforward.
But with regards to my reading pace, it's slower than a snail (lol)
It's hard to not read it, but my project is more important.
This picture of me looks much more better than last week. (^-^)v
PS
There are 2 funeral wakes at my void deck. Ironic, isn't it?
NOTE: As Milo has been on a rebellious streak, MOTD will be on hold until he learns how to behave himself!
